Doggy delights

Harrow Shanghai held its Chinese New Year celebrations on Friday, February 9th, in a fair for pupils to explore Chinese culture. Top to toe in traditional Chinese dress, the pupils enjoyed activities including hoop throwing, paper cutting, making umbrellas, fan and opera mask painting, while eating far too many dumplings and sweet treats! Specialist street artists came in to share skills like play dough molding, sugar painting, and a shadow puppet show. At their CNY concert, pupils presented impressive themed musical and dance performances, with some spectacular acts by external performers including Peking Opera, a hula hoop acrobatic show, and plate spinning – a wonderful event for the whole Harrow community and a great way to welcome in the Year of the Dog.
