Hand in Hand International Children's Music Festival is China's first international music festival meant for the whole family. Chinese singer-songwriter and author Liu Jian and his American journalist wife, Rebecca Kanthor, created Hand in Hand so their children, and all kids in China, would have the chance to hear the best live music for kids from around the world, and learn about different cultures through music. The story of Hua Mulan, a girl who disguises herself as a man and goes to war in place of her elderly father has been adapted in numerous films and television works, but this new shadow play version now brings the story to life in a stunning way.
