Shanghai Family Day has been our most important event of the year for just over 16 years. Every year we bring families, friends and schools together to participate in exciting activities, learn about other cultures, make new friends, and most importantly to have fun!

“上海家庭国际家庭日”是生活在上海的外籍家庭，10月份日历中最重要的一场活动之一，这场品牌活动自2003年举办至今，已经第16个年头了。在这场上海最大的国际家庭活动中，每年都会吸引上千组家庭前来参与，家长在家庭日中为孩子做出更好的教育规划，孩子也沉浸在多样的游戏和活动中，家长和孩子都更加享受到家庭日带来的温馨和乐趣。

This October, we are celebrating all things eco. By engaging children’s imagination through different activities and arts, we hope to raise student awareness of global environmental issues and help them understand the importance of protecting our world.

今年10月，我们将迎来以“海洋环保”为主题的国际家庭日-环保艺术节，我们希望通过此次活动激发孩子的想象力和创造力，通过不同于日常学习的趣味课堂体验，让孩子们对生态环保有更深刻的认识，提高他们的动手能力，培养他们的探索精神，帮助他们树立保护环境、爱护自然和海洋的观念，达成建设环保社会的美好愿景。

WHAT TO EXPECT

An Eco Show环保艺术节

This is an opportunity for children and students of Shanghai to get creative. Projects may include stage performances such as dances, recitals, dramas etc. to handmade, eco-friendly outfits or items. The most practical, eco-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and creative projects on the day will then be entered into our final competition with a chance to win an award.

为了让更多的孩子参与到海洋环境保护中来，我们将邀请沪上学校的学生们参与到环保创意设计的活动中，通过他们天马行空的畅想，用不一样的艺术形式号召更多的人提高环保意识，为海洋环保助力。

这是一场展示创造力与艺术的展现平台，学生作品形式可分为静态和动态两种形式，静态形式作品将在现场静态作品展示区域做展出，动态形式的作品则参与主舞台走秀及演讲环节。

All participants will be awarded a “Defender of the Environment” certificate issued by Xinmin Evening News, HUMANIUWA and Shanghai Family/Parents&Kids. 

凡参与活动者都将获得由《新民晚报社区版》《虎妈牛娃》、Shanghai Family、Parents&Kids颁发的“环保小达人”证书。

Eco Show Highlights活动内容：

Eco-friendly projects exhibition, sustainable clothing show with introduction speeches, second hand book exchange, and a whole lot more eco-related fun!

环保作品静态展示、环保服装T台走秀、环保小达人主题演讲、好书漂流公益活动等环保内容。

Eco Show Outline活动形式：

The Eco Fashion Show will include a show for school groups and a show for families.

本次Eco Show将分为学校团体秀，以及家庭亲子秀。

Follow-on Halloween Party万圣节主题派对：

Students and families that are nominated for our final selections and awards will be invited to a Halloween party that will take place on October 31 at the Kerry Centre.

活动中所设计出的服装，将用于10月31日万圣节当天的最终评选和颁奖。

Little Eco-Warrior - Eco Show

Project Requirements作品要求

1. Submitted works should reflect the theme of marine environment protection.

提交作品须体现出海洋环保的主题。

2. Open to students living in Shanghai aged from 3-18 years.  

报名年龄限制：3-18岁就读于上海国际学校、双语学校、双语幼儿园、国际高中及体制内学校。

3. Projects will be divided into performances and pieces for display. Pieces for display will be part of the exhibition but will not be part of the show. Performances will be in both the exhibition and the show.

作品形式可分为静态和动态两种形式: 静态形式即在现场静态作品展示区域做展出，不参与走秀; 动态形式参与主舞台走秀及演讲环节。

4. A 150-word description of the work should be provided upon registration.

报名时须填写150字左右的作品介绍。

5. Recyclable items can be used as work materials such as: old newspapers, plastic bottles etc. Dry refuse such as: shells, branches, food packaging bags etc. Household waste such as: petals, pumpkins etc. And items classified as ‘hazardous waste’ such as: nail polish, batteries, LED lights etc. In addition to recyclable/ raw materials, bonding materials that are used in the production should be eco-friendly as well.

作品材料可采用生活中的可回收物品，如废报纸、塑料瓶等；干垃圾，如贝壳，树枝、食物包装袋等；生活垃圾，如花瓣、南瓜等；有害垃圾，如指甲油、电池、LED灯等。参赛服装除了原材料要求循环再利用, 制作时使用的粘合材料也要体现环保，最终评审会参照作品的环保性、实用性、创意性、美观性等维度来评判。

Requirements

1. Open to students living in Shanghai aged from 3-18 years.  

报名年龄限制：3-18岁就读于上海国际学校、双语学校、双语幼儿园、国际高中及体制内学校。

2. Participants wishing to register for individual performances/ institution performances should send their performance video/link to editor@shfamily.com before 19th September, along with this information: "School, Grade, Names of all performers, Performance types, Name of performance and Telephone number", such as: Shanghai Fushan Foreign Language Primary School, Betty, Singing, Earth Song, 130********".

环保艺术节表演报名除学校选送作品外，其他作品包括：个人报名、团体报名、机构报名等。均需在9月18日前，将作品视频/链接发送到editor@shfamily.com。

作品需命名为“学校+年级+姓名/团体名称+表演类型+表演名称+手机号”，如"福外+3年级+Betty+歌曲+地球之歌+130*******”。

3. Once selected, we will send a formal invitation to chosen participants before 30th September, therefore it is essential that all your contact information is correct.

所有作品筛选工作于9月25日前结束，在9月30日前，所有成功入选作品的参与者，我们将以邮件及手机的方式发送正式的演出邀请函，请务必保证所留联系方式正确无误。

Second Hand Books Exchange

Why buy books when you can exchange them and simultaneously help the planet instead! During the event, you and your children can bring used books from home and swap them with others for a day of literature fun. By exchanging as opposed to purchasing books, we hope to instill the value of reusing, being more eco-minded, and a love of literature to all our future generations.

“好书漂流”，让闲置的书本“流动”起来，在此全新环节，小朋友们可以带上自己的旧书来到现场，在二手书交换区域，与他人的旧书进行交换。我们希望通过此次活动让小朋友建立起环保节能的意识，另一方面，也能让小朋友从交换物品中得到满足和新鲜感。

Note: This event is for exchanging not for purchasing. Purchasing will not be allowed on site.
