As Shanghai enters a new phase of development aligned with the launch of its "15th Five-Year Plan", the city is advancing comprehensive healthcare reform while continuing to deepen the construction of "15-Minute Community Health Living Radius". Against this backdrop, the integration of international-quality medical resources with local community health needs is accelerating. In 2026, Parkway Medical Clinic Gubei relocated its clinic to Huangjincheng Avenue and held an opening ceremony on January 16, attended by representatives from IHH Healthcare, Parkway, and local subdistrict authorities.
As one of Parkway's key initiatives in Shanghai, the newly upgraded Parkway Medical Clinic Gubei is committed to serving the Gubei community by providing one-stop, family-centered comprehensive healthcare solutions for nearby residents. The clinic brings together an international, multilingual medical team from multiple countries and supports direct billing with more than 60 international insurance providers, delivering professional, convenient, and safe services tailored to diverse healthcare needs. The clinic's services span General Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology (ENT), Health Management, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dermatology, and Psychiatry, among other specialties. With its own independent laboratory, pharmacy, and diagnostic imaging center, the clinic provides full-cycle "family doctor-style" care, ranging from preventive vaccination and health management to specialized diagnosis and treatment, providing residents with a comprehensive, meticulous, and personalized medical experience. At the opening ceremony, a long-standing patient who has been with Parkway for over 20 years was invited to share their health journey with the organization and express their hopes for the future. This trust and recognition from patients vividly reflect Parkway’s service philosophy of "Precision Care, Warmly Delivered ".

Patient representatives, Mr. and Mrs. Bengtsson
In her address, Ms. Chloe Li, CEO of Parkway Clinic Operations, noted: "Since 2025, Parkway has seen a significant increase in patient visits compared with the same period last year. As a key component of IHH Healthcare's Asia network, we remain committed to bringing international-standard medical services into Chinese families and communities. This upgrade not only focuses on facilities and environment, but also introduces new specialties such as rehabilitation and mental health care. At the same time, we are actively advancing our inclusion as a non–high-cost provider. Parkway has now been designated as a non-high-cost medical institution by insurers such as Cigna CMB and MSH, making healthcare payments more convenient, accessible, and affordable for our patients."

Ms. Chloe Li, CEO of Parkway Clinic Operations
On the opening day, Mr. Li , a 70-year-old resident living on Huangjincheng Avenue, visited the clinic for a follow-up appointment. Having lived with hypertension for many years, he requires regular medication refills. Previously, each hospital visit took nearly an hour round trip. With the new comprehensive clinic located within walking distance of his home, his routine medical needs can now be met conveniently nearby. He remarked that although the clinic had only recently opened, it had already become a trusted "community health hub" —a place residents can turn to for everyday health consultations, prescription services, and unexpected medical needs.
In recent years, Parkway has continuously optimized its service network across Shanghai, establishing a three-tier care model of "General Hospital – Medical Center - Community Clinic" across Huangpu, Changning, Minhang, and Pudong districts. This network covers the city while seamlessly connecting with the broader Yangtze River Delta healthcare service ecosystem, enhancing regional healthcare accessibility and coordination. The successful upgrade of the Parkway Medical Clinic Gubei marks a new chapter in Parkway's long-term commitment to Shanghai and its vision for premium, community-based healthcare services. Through continuous optimization of service quality and delivery models, Parkway is committed to leveraging its international healthcare system strengths, not only contributing to Shanghai's ambition of becoming an Asian medical hub, but also injecting sustained momentum into the national vision of "Healthy China 2030".
