The kindergarten was established by the China Welfare Institute in 1991. It is a non-profit kindergarten catering to children from ages 2 to 6. SCLK offers play-based learning activities covering learning objectives for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage One recommended by the British National Curriculum, as well as a 2-year Early Years Montessori programme. The aim of the curriculum is to support and extend children’s development in all areas: cognition, socialisation, physical development and creativity.
